Red coffee cherries are spread on the raised drying bed.

Aroma of honeydew and stone fruits. Up front flavour of green apple followed by stewed nectarine and brown sugar. Very well balanced. Round, smooth body. Juicy acidity.

The Adado washing station is located near the kebele (village) or Shara in the woreda (district) of Guanga. Located in the Gedeozone, this coffee is named after the local tribe "Adado."

The region comprises 7,000 farmers, contributing to eight mills and exports 2030 containers annually. Most contributing farmers own less than a hectare of land, and they grow coffee simply as a backyard cash crop. Coffee will usually be interspersed with other subsistence crops, such as sweet potato, mangos and avocados.

Coffee is selectively hand-picked before being delivered to collection points, usually within 10 km of the producers’ homes. Great care is taken upon delivery to separate out any overripe, under-ripe or damaged beans before consolidating with other lots for the road to the wet mill.
