Fragrant orange peel aromatics, bright green apple acidity, and the sugary sweetness of lime panela round out this extremely well-balanced coffee.
Grown by Marco Ramos at Finca La Laguna. Marco inherited Finca La Laguna 5 years ago after his father Leonardo passed away. Finca La Laguna is located very close to the Gaitania municipality which allowed Marco to have access to labour during the whole year. He believes this is the reason for his Caturra plantation looking so healthy. ‘If Caturra trees are well fed and well looked after, there is no room for leaf rust” Marco comments. This coffee was pulped and left to ferment underwater for 24 hours inside ceramic tanks. The coffee was then gently washed and placed on raised beds for 14 days until the ideal moisture content was achieved.
