Juicy plum hits you first, with a nice coating of caramel to follow. This leads to a subtle hazelnut finish.
This coffee mostly comes from women producers. In this region of Mexico, a lot of men go to the northern states for work and often the women are left alone to look after the family and the farm. It is why this lot is called Las Guerreras: it is from Guerrero and mostly from women. Guerreras translates to women warriors, which is quite appropriate to describe these hard working, resilient women.

The state of Guerrero is one of Mexico's 16 coffee producing states, has borders with Oaxaca and Puebla. In Guerrero, 80% of the territory are mountains where the main economic activity is agriculture. Coffee was first introduced by the Spanish in Sierra de Atoyac, and most of the labor force for picking coffee was brought over from the poorest areas of Guerrero - a region called Montaña Alta.
