Notes

Located in the Caranavi region, the Waliki farm is one of the youngest farms in the area as the trees there were only planted in 2016. Owned by the Rodriguez family, who have committed to only using fully organic methods in their production as a means of testing the sustainability of this for coffee production in Bolivia. Ingrained in the local culture, the word ‘Waliki’ functions as a greeting in Ayamara meaning “How’s it going?” and serves as a reply meaning “All good!”. Naturally the family named the farm Waliki to instill the same spirit of care and compassion into the work they do, as well as the land and communities it supports. The hope is that this message carries all the way to the cup.
