'Sitio Recanto da Saudade' Estate is an inheritance from his father. His brothers' properties border his farm and they are dedicated to their coffee plantations, making them the 8th generation of coffee producers in the family.

Geovane grew up amongst coffee plantations. At the age of 10, he was already dreaming of the day he would be able to help his family with their work in the fields.
Currently there are 10 partner families who work with Geovane on his 15 hectares of coffee plantation and all of them negotiate independently their own harvest.
The good results with Red Catuai in recent years made this variety the only one grown locally. Geovane aims to allow the plantations to age more before introducing more varieties.
