JOSE EDIN RAMIREZ

A big, sweet cup of fresh berry fruits, this has a little twist of grapefruit and delicate apple on the aftertaste for a balanced, moreish cup.

Jose, a third-generation coffee producer, has been cultivating coffee since 2008. He is very happy and proud to be able to achieve good results and recognition due to his coffee quality. He learned about coffee since he was a child as his father involved him in coffee production at early age.

He owns Mi Tesoro farm, a 4-hectare plot with 2 hectares dedicated to coffee production. Located in Planes village, Comayagua, the farm produces only Typica variety, cultivated at 1800 m.a.s.l.

Working with specialty coffee has been very meaningful for him and his family, his coffee has been in the international markets. He has transitioned to specialty coffee and the support from coffee professionals has allow him to continue producing high-quality coffees.

Jose has recently planted new seeds from exotic varietals including SL 28 and Gesha. The new plantations of these varieties are still growing, and Jose is looking forward to diversifying his coffee offering and enter to more specialized markets.
