Our Summer Blend is all about fruit-forward flavour and easy-drinking vibes. It pairs a washed Caturra, zesty lime and crisp acidity, with a natural Pacamara that brings watermelon sweetness and a sweet orange twist. The result is a lush, syrupy body that lingers on the palate. Brew it hot for depth or pour it over ice for something vibrant and refreshing. Either way, it's your perfect sunny days cup.
From our friends at Finca El Limón
Both coffees in this blend come from Finca El Limón, part of the San Patricio Estate in Palencia, Guatemala. The farm is owned and operated by Guadalupe Alberto 'Beto' Reyes and the Reyes family – people we've been working with for over 12 years now.
What started as a sourcing relationship has grown into a genuine friendship. The family operate their own wet mill on site, run by Beto's brother Felix, which gives them complete control over processing. They can separate different lots, keep individual days' pickings apart, and experiment with different methods – it's this setup that allows them to produce both the washed Caturra and natural Pacamara side by side.
Natural processing is still relatively uncommon in Guatemala, where washed coffees dominate, but the Reyes family have embraced it wholeheartedly. Their 2021 natural Pacamara earned a top 15 placement in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence – recognition of the quality they're achieving and the growing appreciation for alternative processing in the region.
How to brew it
For espresso, we're pulling this one slightly longer to let the fruit shine. A 19g dose yielding 45g in 25-30 seconds gives you a juicy, balanced shot with plenty of body.
Fancy something cold? Flash brewing (hot coffee brewed directly over ice) locks in all that bright, juicy character. Use 21g of coarsely ground coffee, brew with 300g of water at 92°C, and drain directly over reusable ice cubes for a refreshing summer cup without the dilution. Want the full method?
