Chelelektu washed is sourced from the Wonberta washing station in the Kochere woreda of Gedeo zone. The region with its unique micro-climate, supported by high altitude and rich soil, has long been known for producing exceptional quality coffees.
The station processes the harvest collected from the 650-700 producers located around the mill. This natural processed coffee is dried out in the sun of the mills 185 raised beds. The Wonberto mill is one of 4 owned by Wonberta General Import and Export. Wonberta is fully committed to conserving the environment through reforestation programmes and the preservation of water sources and the natural eco-system.
