The Montanari family has been farming coffee for over 100 years and 4 generations. In the 1990s, João Batista Montanari moved the family to Cerrado Mineiro to escape the frosts common in Southern Brazil and purchased Fazenda Rainha da Paz. Today, his sons are the innovators behind the farm’s success. "I am the fourth generation of producers in my family, and a lot has changed since my great-grandfather's time,” says Marcelo Montanari, who runs the farm today. “Before you worked only to produce. Today the focus is on the customer and what he wants, and I decided to bet on quality and sustainability.”
