Our Seasonal Blend changes every six months with the arrival of fresh crop coffees

Previously known as Brothers. Our current Seasonal Blend consists of 3 different single origin coffees from the following farms.

Guatemala: El Limon
Finca El Limon is one of six farms or lots from the San Patricio Estate, owned and operated by Guadalupe Alberto ‘Beto’ Reyes and the Reyes family.

We have worked with the Reyes family for six years now. A loyal relationship and friendship have developed, during which the farms have gone from strength to strength in infrastructure and coffee quality over this time. The family are always looking to innovate in the pursuit of flavour and quality – values intrinsically shared by us.

The more established Finca El Limon farm is the ‘jewel in the crown’. The family purchased it 22 years ago and over the years have renovated older areas of the farm, by terracing areas, planted new coffee and introduced sustainable farming practices. El Limon features established shade cover trees, high altitude and receives plenty of sunlight, resulting in the long maturing of coffee, high levels of sugar and consistent coffee production.

Ethiopia: Mensur Abahika
Mensur Abahika owns an 18-hectare farm in the Jimma region of Ethiopia. The Jimma region isn’t usually known for high-quality naturals; however, Mensur’s attention to detail in processing showcases what can be achieved in this case. It’s exciting for us to showcase the work of a single producer, as previously in Ethiopia, most coffees were being sold via washing stations or regions like Yirgacheffe. This is due to a recent change from the Authorities, who now allow farmers to export their coffee as their own.

Mensur is a key component of the Tokuma Farmer Group. The Tokuma group is a collective of farmers in Western Ethiopia who have organized to market their coffees together and share knowledge with each other that allows them to each improve quality. Over the past three years, we have seen overall quality and consistency improve year over year within this group. We have also seen the Tokuma Farmers improve upon their ability to deliver coffees to the port on time.

Colombia: El Yalcon
We work very closely with our producers and look to build strong and lasting relationships with each one of them. El Yalcon is a Colombian speciality coffee produced by small scale growers in the municipality of La Plata. The name El Yalcon comes from the indigenous people that used to live where La Plata is today. We have signed a two-year purchasing contract with these farmers to help provide greater certainty for producers and develop a more sustainable supply relationship. We have been buying from this region of Colombia for 3.5 years, directly impacting the lives of 36 small and medium sized coffee producers and their families in that time.
