Heart Kids NZ is the only organization in Aotearoa dedicated to supporting children, teens, and adults born with congenital heart defects (CHD) – the most common serious birth condition. Every week, 12 babies are born with a heart defect, and thousands of families across New Zealand face the life-changing challenges that come with CHD. There are also many more children diagnosed with an acquired heart condition during childhood.

Our mission is to be there for these families every step of the way. From providing specialised family support taituarā who work within the community to delivering vital resources, emotional guidance, and practical assistance, Heart Kids NZ is committed to helping families navigate their journey with CHD. We ensure that no child or whānau has to face these challenges alone.
